Fall 2009 Professional Development Workshops for Graduate Students
Academic Job Search Preparation Workshop Series

If you are a graduate student (at any year in the program) and plan to apply for a college-level instructor or faculty position upon graduation, this workshop series is designed for you. Searching for a position in academia is a very different process from searching for a graduate school or an industry job, and this workshop series aims to elucidate some of the unique aspects of the academic job search. Application materials, such as the Teaching Philosophy, Teaching Portfolio, and CV usually take a good deal of time to develop, and we suggest that students begin developing these early in the graduate career. This popular workshop series will help you get started on your career track towards a “future faculty” position.

Light refreshments served at workshops.

Space is limited for all workshops. Advanced registration is required. Register at: http://www.cetl.gatech.edu/students/workshops/index.php
