Personal Response System (PRS), manufactured by the InterWrite Learning company, is an active learning tool that facilitates nearly full participation in lecture and Q&A sessions. It can be used for in-class polls, attendance checks, discussions, and quizzes. Students use their personal remote controls to transmit their answers to the PRS system. PRS provides instant histograms of student responses and records answers of every student. It can be used in conjunction with its built-in question editor or PowerPoint. It is Ideal for large lectures, in which full participation is encouraged but not easily achieved.
