Supporting Graduate Student Instructors/Advanced TAs: Dinner and Roundtable Discussion

April 12, 2007
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Ferst Room , Georgia Tech Library (7 th Floor)
Dinner will be provided

Are you a graduate student who:

  • Is currently or will be teaching a class here at Tech?
  • Is currently or will be serving as a lead (or resource) TA?
  • Will be taking on more “advanced” TA or instructional duties?
  • Is interested in doing more teaching during your graduate program?

If so, please join us! The purpose of this event is to discuss how the campus can support graduate students who take on more significant instructional duties (including teaching their own courses) as part of their teaching assistantships. In an informal, roundtable fashion, we will discuss what resources you would like to have to support your teaching, the challenges you may be facing as you teach or plan to teach, and what ideas you have for future programs, workshops, or roundtables related to supporting graduate student instructors.

You do not have to be teaching or TAing currently ! Any graduate student interested in these topics is welcome to join us. As dinner is included, we do need you to register by April 2 so we can plan accordingly.
